‘LoVE n tHE CIty

Woke up this morning and immediately felt that something was different about today.  Just a sense of urgency and excitement as if something new was about to happen.  Same routine-get ready for work, feed precious (my grey parrot) make my bed and rush out to try to make the ‘L’ train that will take me to 8th avenue and 14th Street   Immediately I am hit with the first breeze  of cold air as I step outside but with it I also feel this warm and happy feeling deep inside of me so overwhelming and I, just have to smile.  I smile, sometimes inwardly all the way to work as I observe everyone on the train.  Some are cramped against each other, others stare at their feet or whatever they can focus on to get them through this ride.  I feel happy to be here in New York City, I think to myself , as I get off the train and start walking across the street toward 10th avenue.  Everyone is in such a rush almost bumping into each other as they pass  and they’ll never know who that  person could have been.  Someone  famous maybe,  a friend,  co-worker or maybe even that person destiny will have us meet.
